Liridon Latifi: "I thank the director and the coach of the club for the trust"
The newcomer of FC Sheriff Liridon Latifi about himself, the tasks for the forthcoming season and matches of the Champions League as a part of FC Sheriff.
- Liridon, welcome to FC Sheriff. What feelings do you have after the signing of the contract?
- I am very glad to be here. I thank the director and the coach of the club for the trust and the given opportunity to prove myself. I want to help the team with all upcoming games. My main goal – to become together with new team the Champion to Moldova. It is a good point in my career, plus a new trophy in my personal collection. Certainly, it is worth to remember also about Euro cups. I will direct all efforts as much as possible to help the team with the Champions League. I have an experience of the performance in the most prestigious tournament of Europe and I hope, it will do good to my new club.
- Tell about your former club.
- Puskás Akadémia FC acts in the Highest League of Hungary. In spite of the fact that this club-academy, it has not so many years to football measures. Team with good base, conditions for training. However, coming to Tiraspol, you understand - really here everything is on the highest level.
- Playing for FC Skënderbeu Korçë you became the Champion of Albania, Sheriff in Moldova in every season applies also for a country champion title. Do you see in this any relationship?
- Undoubtedly, relationship exists between these clubs. They have a similar philosophy – both clubs always apply for gold medals in the championships. I prefer attacking styly, and I am always focused on the goal of the rivals. These factors are very important when you play for such serious and strong clubs.
- For certain you know with whom our team will fight in the Champions League. Have you met earlier one of the rivals?
- I do not know Georgian Saburtalo. And I know Zagreb Dinamo firsthand. Playing for Skënderbeu Korçë, I had to come on the field against the Croatian team. Scored a goal to the goal of rivals. We passed in that season further. But I know, they build in every season the solid team with ambitious tasks.
