Josip Brezovec: I want to do my best for Sheriff to win the championship
Josip, tell us about your life in our club and in Tiraspol in general?
Everything is great in the club and I am impressed by both the sports complex and your city. My wife came to me with children and we like to take a walk in Tiraspol.
You played a few games in the championship already. How much does the level of Moldovan football differ from Croatian?
Even though we played only with four opponent team, I can already say that Moldovan football is much more aggressive than Croatian.
We know that you were named the leader of the season 2012/13 while in HNK Rijeka. Do you want to do this again but in FC Sheriff?
Of course, I would like to do the same here. I want to do my best for Sheriff to win the championship and to reach our record in Europe in the next year playing in European cups.
Are you satisfied with the coach as a manager?
We all like his style. Bruno has his own requirements for every player and we try to strictly follow them. Irles is a good coach and hopefully everyone will see that.
Have you always been a football player or been involved in other sports?
It happened in my life that nothing attracted me as much as football in sports area. And still I am not very much interested in other sports rather than football.
Who inspires you among world famous players?
I guess it is Francesco Totti.
What would you change in football rules if you had such a chance?
I don’t think I would change anything. I am satisfied with the rules.
You know that match against Zimbru will be a hard one and Sheriff should be one hundred percent ready. How do you see this match?
It is going to be a rough game. Zimbru have four victories but we are Sheriff and we must win no matter what. I invite all football fans and supporters to come to the stadium because we need your support so much.
