Jose Angel Jurado:Participation in the Champions League has been my dream since the childhood
The first interview of the FC Sheriff Spanish newcomer as the player of the club:
- José, welcome to FC Sheriff. You’ve just signed the employment agreement. What are your emotions?
-I’m very happy that I’ve signed the agreement with FC Sheriff. I cannot wait to get acquainted with my partners and to begin work for the good of the club.
- Usually if the football player has an offer from the foreign championship, he advises with compatriots who either played, or still is playing in this league. And with whom have you advised?
-Of course, I advised and interested in FC Sheriff. Asked Juan Alvarado Melli. He played here and was a part of the club.
-What did he tell you about our city and team?
-His information was crucial in my transfer. He felt here very comfortably and conveniently in every respect. Juan was shocked by infrastructure of the club. He told me that here such conditions are created for football that not each Spanish club is able to afford. Now I’m here. I can see all this with my own eyes. I will shortly work in these excellent conditions for football.
-If half a year you were told that you’ll play in Sheriff what would you answer?
- Frankly speaking, I would not believe. Before I’ve played in Norway in FK Bodø/Glimt. You know, I could not suppose earlier to appear exactly there. Football career changes as well as life therefore you never know where you will play tomorrow.
- What most of all attracted you what gave the final decision to pass to FC Sheriff?
- FC Sheriff is a regular participant of Euro cups. Participation in the Champions League has been my dream since the childhood.
- How do you estimate a performance in the Highest league of Norway?
- In general I am satisfied with the performance. In Norway they like to play the ball long. I liked to assist my partners in the team though I like more a combinational game with short balls.
-What is the most important for you in football and what your football quality you consider the strongest?
- The most important in football is team. I like to work individually with a ball. But individual qualities always have to work for the whole collective.
- You are the trainee of FC Betis Academy. What football is imparted since the early childhood there?
-In the academy we were imparted to the combinational game with short and frequent passes. There football is based on individual work with a ball, vision of the field and fast decision-making. Something similar with Catalan style of playing. In Barcelona the level, of course, is much higher. Now Betis fights in the La Liga for a zone of Euro cups. The team qualified to the semifinal of the King’s Cup and to the playoff of the Europa League. These achievements are in many respects connected with work of academy.
