Johan Rodallega: «I want to show everyone why I'm here»
Today we present Johan Rodallega, who recently signed a contract with our club. The Colombian midfielder shared his first impressions, expectations and goals for the future.
- Johan, how did you feel when you signed a contract with FC Sheriff?
- To tell the truth, I am very happy, because this is an opportunity that is not given to every player. I really want to show everyone why I am here and prove that I am worthy to be a part of this strong club.
- How have the team and coaching staff met you?
- Very well. From the first moment I felt the necessary attention and support. There is a great atmosphere in the team, everyone respects each other and works for the good of the club. Adaptation is going well, and my colleagues are helping me a lot.
- What goals do you set for yourself in the new club?
- First of all, to adapt to the local conditions as soon as possible, to learn English, to fight for a place in the squad and to give my best in every game.
- You are a pupil of Milionarios. How has this club influenced your development?
- Milionarios was the first professional team I joined. I learned a lot, gained a lot of experience both in sports and in life situations. This club gave me a solid base for further growth.
- What are the main lessons you learned from playing for the Colombia U-20 national team?
- I have improved my ball control, improved my positioning on the field, developed my leadership skills and strengthened my game mentality.
- What does it mean to you to be called up to the Colombian youth national teams?
- It means that I am going in the right direction and my efforts are paying off. I am honored to represent my country on the international stage.
- How is the training here different from what you are used to in Colombia?
- Everything is much faster here, the high pace of the game requires instant decisions and maximum concentration.
- Recently you have recently had your first contact with our fans. Tell us about it.
- It is very important for me to be close to our fans. They give us strength, and my goal is to make them proud of the team and make them feel happy.
- What tasks do you set for yourself this season?
- To improve as a player, learn from teammates and do everything possible to earn a place in the starting lineup.
- What style of play is closest to you?
- Actually, I don't have a specific style, and I like it. I try to adapt to whatever tactics the coach chooses and be a versatile player.
- Where would you like to be in the future - do you dream of being called up to the Colombian national team?
- Yes, of course! It's every player's dream to represent his country at the highest level. I will work hard to achieve this goal.
