Jo Santos: I'm back to play
FC Sheriff forward Jo Santos returned from a one-year loan and is ready to become the leader of the team.
Jo, it’s great you are back, congratulations. We know you wanted that a lot.
Oh, yeah. I’m happy to be back to this big club.
Did you miss the Yellow-Black family?
Sheriff, as I said, is a big club. Of course, I missed it a lot as I achieved much here.
A year in Politeh, what was it like?
Well, it was a nice time in Iasi. I made several beautiful goals and helped the teammates to score with my assists. It made me one of the two best international players in Iasi. I dare say Liga 1 is a strong tournament and it means I played really well. I appreciate this nomination.
At the moment the team has many attacking players. Are you ready for such competition?
FC Sheriff always have good competition and now we have a big choice of attacking players. I respect my teammates. Previous season showed that I can play football and I returned to prove I must be on the field.
Last year you spent only two games in FC Sheriff line-up after your injury. Now we see you are not going to sit on the sub’s bench?
Yes, I feel great. I think I’m a well-experienced player and am ready to help the team to achieve goals set by the coaches: to enter the Champions League group stage and win the title in the National Division.
