Greek midfielder Ioannis Botos commented on his move to FC Sheriff.

 

- Ioannis, you are a player of FC Sheriff. What are your first thoughts?

- Definitely glad. I followed the club last season. The team has achieved incredible success in the international arena. For me, this is an excellent choice. I have little experience playing in the Europa League, I want to show myself in the Champions League. I feel good and physically ready. In the Netherlands last season was quite intense for me, I played over thirty games.

 

- What are your first impressions after arriving at the club?

- Everything here is at a high level in terms of football life. I was well received and everyone tries to help me in some way. My close friend Georgios Athanasiadis told me how everything works here. His advice is very important to me.

 

- You are a young football player - are you ready to compete with more experienced football players in the team?

- In my case, age does not affect. I've been playing in the first team since I was 16. In Holland I also got a lot of playing time and was important in the team. In general, this is not a problem for me.

 

- You played in the youth national teams of Greece - are you ready to defend the colors of an adult team?

- For any Greek footballer, this is one of the main tasks. I hope to do well in Tiraspol and thus earn a call to the national team.

 

- Your idol in world football?

- I like the game of Thiago Alcantara. But you won't believe it - I practically don't watch football. Most of the time is spent preparing and training. There is little free time.

 

- What do you do with your free time?

- Of course, on rest. I am Greek, so I love being by the sea, relaxing, swimming and diving.

 

- What did you plan for yourself in the new club?

- I strive to be involved in the fulfillment of the tasks set for the team. Frankly, I would really like to prove myself in European competition. I believe that we will have a strong and close-knit team.
