FC Universitatea achieved success in the following years:
The last conquered title was the Cup of Romania in 1993.
There were also black stripes in the history of the club. In 2011 FC Universitatea was eliminated from the Football Federation of Romanian for some time. The reason to that were sportive disputes in civil court with former coach of the team Viktor Pitsurke, and according to the FIFA Regulations the clubs do not have the right for this.
The team got back to the Romanian division only in the current season. After 17 rounds our opponent takes the fifth place in the championship having 29 points. The teams lucks only a few points to take part in the European cups.
