Introduction of the opponent FC “Samtredia” (Georgia)
Football club Samtredia is a Georgian club from the city with the same name. Home stadium is Erosi Manjgaladze Stadium placing 15 000 spectators. Former names: Lokomotiv, Sanavardo, Juba and Iberia Samtredia. The club was established in 1936. In the year 1972 the club became the champion of the Georgian Soviet Championship. The club performed under the name Lokomotiv till the year 1989 in the second league of the USSR Championship. In 1994/95 the club for the first and last time took the second place in the championship of Georgia and got right to perform in the UEFA Cup.
In 2009 FC Samtredia took the first place in the First League of Georgia and entered the Top League of Georgian football.
