The championship title of the 2016-2017 season was played in a gold match. It took place on May 30, 2017, a few days after the team led by Roberto Bordin won the Moldova Cup.

 

The game turned out to be fascinating, with FC Sheriff playing advantage. The opponent managed to reach additional time thanks to the crazy shot of Veaceslav Posmac. And the goalkeeper of our club Sergei Zhurik became the real hero, who helped our team leave the goal dry in the penalty shootout (series 3-0).
