The best player of April according to the fans - FC Sheriff defender Gustavo Dulanto spoke about his joy after the match with Milsami, about some details of the game in defense and about his intentions to win another trophy with the team in Moldova.

 

- Gustavo, we congratulate you on the Championship, what emotions did you have after the game with Milsami?

- Thank you, I am really very happy that we won the Championship. I felt even before the game that this is the day when we will win the championship. I saw this from my comrades, they were very concentrated. It turned out to be an important and glorious game for us, because it was decided whether we would become Champions before the end of the Championship of Moldova. In fact, I am very happy and looking forward to the moment when we are handed the trophy to celebrate it all together. The championship was a great moment that we all experienced as a team.

 

- Is this your first trophy?

- Yes, this is my first championship in football and it is doubly valuable. Plus, this happened in Europe. Again, I am very pleased with the victory in the National Division, especially with such a titled club as Sheriff.

 

- How did you get ready for the game with Milsami and what can you say about the game?

- We really prepared very well. The team was determined to win. Concentration is in every game. I think the fact that we play often helps us, we are on strike, score a lot of goals and miss a little. I feel that our opponents respect us more and more. This is important for us. This means that we are doing our job well.

 

- You already got used to the team and began to get more playing time on the field ...

- Yes, it is important for me to feel comfortable. This is reflected in my game as well. I have adapted enough to Moldovan football and am glad to be in a large and very close-knit team. The great atmosphere in the team is another reason why we are good and we still have to win the Moldova Cup final inside the country. We would like to bring this trophy home to Tiraspol.

 

- The team misses little balls - what is the reason?

- When it is necessary to defend, we defend with the whole team, when it is necessary to attack, we attack with the same line-up. In addition, the point here is in the organization of the game - we often put pressure on the opponents, whether at our own stadium or away. We try to keep the ball far from our goal, so we rarely miss goals.

 

- On the pitch, you can hear how you constantly direct your partners. Is this important for a center-back?

- Yes, this is important, I always liked to direct, to streamline the actions of my partners on the football field. The defender, like the goalkeeper, has a better view of the field, so it's easier for us to read the game and we need to use it. I try to help the team in everything I can.

 

- Ahead is the Moldova Cup final, what are your thoughts on this?

- Yes, the team understands that on May 30th we have the Cup final. But before that, we have several Championship games in which we must win. We are the Champions of this season. We must continue to play the same way. We have no right to give up or be relaxed - we must demonstrate why we became the best in the country 4 tours before the end of the tournament. We need to approach the 30th prepared and motivated. I really believe in my comrades very much, we are a strong and close-knit team.
