- Many thanks to everyone who is worried about us. It was really a very important match. We achieved a victory that gives us an advantage before the second leg. But we all understand that there is one more game left. It is even more important to achieve the main goal.

 

- Did you expect such a result before the match?

- I did not expect such a result, because many such fights are often more closed at this stage of the competition. I trust my teammates completely. Indeed, I feel that we are in good shape and we must continue to act as well: to be united, persistent and tenacious. The team has all these qualities.

 

- Even after the third goal scored, our fans drove the team forward. Did the 12th player help to defeat the opponent?

- Yes, people in the stands had a great influence. In fact, it was a beautiful evening, a magical evening. This is one of those matches that I will never forget. People came to us and lived the game with us 100%, for this we are very grateful to them.

 

- Have you, as a captain, already talked with your partners about what awaits the team ahead?

- Yes, I had to go captain, as Frank Castaneda was disqualified. In the dressing room after the match, it was said that we have achieved a great result, but there is still one more final missing, which will be on Wednesday. It has to be played the way we have played all games since the first leg of the tournament - with the same passion to pass to the Champions League group stage and achieve something historic as a club and as a team.

 

- Considering this result, should we expect that Dinamo will try to score a quick goal in the second leg?

- We will not wait with folded hands a quick goal from them - we will bravely defend ourselves, as we always do. We need to play on equal terms with the Croats. We will continue to demonstrate what we have done in Tiraspol. I fully trust my team and the ability of the coaching staff to equip the team with the necessary knowledge for the return leg.
