Goran Sablic answered the journalists’ questions after the match of the 22nd round of the National Division with FC Petrocub:
- Good evening. What can I say? Today the team gave itself completely. The game was very principled and strong. We understood that with the team, which plays a lot in defense, in fact 9 players, it will be difficult to create moments. But we were able to create them, four of which were absolute. I do not have any claims to the players. Just couldn’t win. Players gave themselves completely. There was only one shot on our goal. Petrocub played counterattacks. It's hard for everyone to play against a team that uses five defenders. Of course, we took the lead, controlled the ball. Unfortunately, we could not score.
- Could the injured attack line players help?
- Maybe yes. Today Kendysh played. He spent only two training sessions in the general group. It was obvious that it was difficult for Belousov to play the third game in a row. We could not count even on Balima today. He showed himself well in the last match and scored two goals. We have what we have. I do not have any claims to the players who played today.
- Perhaps, in a tour or two, the team can become the champion. How will the team continue to play?
- We will have a serious approach to every match and every opponent. This is a matter of honor. On the other hand, we will give chances and check a few younger players who train with us. We need to see how they feel at this level. We hope that after a pause in the games of the national team, some more players from the first team will return. Then it will be easier for me as for a coach.
- Is the task for today completed?
- We didn’t win. We wanted to do it a lot. We seriously prepared to the game, so it’s a pity that it is so. On the other hand, we did everything. And there were moments. Just didn’t score. If we did not create moments, it would be worse. Maybe we didn’t created a lot of moments, but all of them were absolute. And they were not random. Everything that we trained, everything was done. Not enough a little concentration, focus or quality. You can name it differently. Therefore, today we didn’t score.
