FC Sheriff Director Vazha Tarkhnishvili made a statement for the official site of the club referring the incident after the match FC Sheriff – FC Zimbru.

“Football club Sheriff considers any aggression and discrimination on the ground of social and national origin as inappropriate. Our club will tolerate no appeals to racism and extremism.
We are against any violence. FC Sheriff has always played a fair play in the course of its history and has never been involved in such cases.
Yesterday the supporters of both teams did a great job in supporting their teams and made it a true football celebration. However, things that occurred after the match are inacceptable.
It is a well-known fact that FC Zimbru fans have been denied access to the stadiums of Moldova many times. FC Sheriff also denied access to FC Zimbru fans a few times. But when FC Zimbru fan groups were allowed to visit the principal match, there happened events which should be considered as a threat to fair-play performance.
Football club Sheriff is always happy to greet supporters of Moldovan and European teams. Our clubs acts with peace. We call on showing respect to all clubs and supporters”.
