The break in the championship caused by games of the national teams was filled with a friendly match with FC Zaria Beltci. The encounter ended in FC Sheriff victory – 4:0.
 
By the end of the first half Benjamin Balima scored a goal. After the break goalscorers were Andrei Novikov, Igor Bondarenko and Juninho Potiguar. 

On October 18 FC Sheriff has an away match against FC Petrocub in terms of the 11th matchday of the championship. It will be FC Sheriff first official game with Zoran Vulic as a head coach.
