FC Sheriff - U14 in BEROE CUP 2016 Tournament
Our team FC Sheriff-U14 with their coach Vitali Mostovoi returned from Bulgaria where they took part in the international youth tournament BEROE CUP 2016 dedicated to 100th anniversary since FC Beroe foundation.
Six teams took part in the tournament: Bulgarian Beroe and Lewski, Krylia Sovetov from Russia, Czech Slavia and Serbian Napredak.
Vitali Mostovoi:
- Our players had three matches. In the first one they won Slavia from Sophia by the score 5:0. In the second match they played against Lewski, which ended in a 1:2 defeat. In the match for the third place we played with Napredak from Krushevac. However, our players did not score due to their tiredness. Even our goalkeeper's double booking did not influence the course of the match. We lost by the score 3:4 in a penalty shootout, thus taking fourth place in the tournament.
It should be also mentioned that Nikita Koval and Nikita Pikus could score three goals each.
