The European Union of Football Associations has published a table - ranking of the best football clubs of the “Old World” in the Champions League. It includes 500 teams that participated in the tournament from 1955 to 2019.

 

FC Sheriff is located on the 68th position. In total, our club has 17 participations in the most prestigious tournament in Europe, 68 matches in which we won 22 victories, tied 14 times and lost 32 matches. The goal difference is 66-74 and 58 points scored.

 

This is the best position of Moldavian clubs in history. The Italian Napoli, the French Bordeaux scored the same points, and below us there are many famous European teams.

 

The nearest Moldavian club, Chisinau Zimbru, is located on the 155th position.

 

Let's remind  that FC Sheriff is the first and only club of the Championship of Moldova, whose team managed to break into the spring part of the European Cup. We are talking about the Under-19 team, which will play in the playoff round of the UEFA Youth League.
