FC Sheriff – FK Sutjeska
Today at the Main Arena of Sports Complex Sheriff two teams – FC Sheriff and FK Sutjeska – met in terms of the second qualifying round of UEFA Champions League.
FC Sheriff could open the scoring already on 2nd minute. FK Sutjeska central defender made a mistake at the penalty area, Juninho Potiguar came one to one with the goalkeeper but the ball got into defender. However, attack was not stopped and the ball was taken by RaduGinsar who got into the defender as well. Right after that Luvannor Henrique shot at the goal but the goalkeeper Ivan Janjušević. Kadu made a great penalty shot but Janjušević handled it. FK Sutjeska responded with a shot by AndrijaPejović higher the goal. On 26th minute another moment was created by FC Sheriff players. Luvannor delivered a corner, Ligger made a shot, Muresan assisted but the ball flew higher. Then Luvannor made a penalty shot where Ginsar took the ball but could not make it into the goal. Goran Vujovic made a dangerous shot from the corner but the ball went close to the post. By the end of the half FC Sheriff could finally score a goal however it was an offside position. Ginsar dealt with two opponents and made a pass to Ricardinho in the penalty area. The Brazilian outplayed the goalkeeper and scored but it was an offside.
In the second half the scheme of the game did not change. On 52nd minute FC Sheriff lost a great chance to score. Luvannor was on the goal line and sent pass to Metoua along the box. The defender made a shot but FK Sutjeska player could deal with the shot. Six minutes later FC Sheriff lost another chance to score. Kadu sent a fantastic pass to Ricardinho who got it in the penalty area but was not able to make a right shot. However the time for the goal came when Kadu delivered a corner, Metoua made a shot, the ball went from Isa to Andrei Muresan who made it a goal – 1:0! On 87th minute Ernandes made a cross from the flank, Benson headed the ball but FK Sutjeska defender got it back right on Ismail Isa who did not leave any chances to the guests – 2:0! Isa could score another one coming one to one with the goalkeeper but the Bulgarian’s shot was not precise.
FC Sheriff wins by the score 2:0. Second leg match will take place in Niksich on 22 July.
