FC Sheriff won in an important match over FC Zimbru by the score 2:0.
Zimbru started more actively. The first shot was performed by Rui Migel, he aimed at the goal but missed it. Sheriff responded in a more dangerous shot. However, Danijel Subotic failed to score. In the middle of the half the visiting team attacked again. Sheriff failed to defend, Jan-Mari Amani sent a firm shot in the close corner, however he was not precise. Ten minutes before the end of the first half Sheriff scored an opener. The Brazilian Jo Santos was first at picking up and scored it in an empty goal after Zimbru goalkeeper stroke Balima’s shot aside.
In the second 45 both teams had their chances. Balima, Patras and Subotic did not convert their goal attempts. On the part of FC Zimbru Amain did not turn Kalu’s pass home. In the additional time Sheriff scored twice, however, only one goal was counted. Zimbru carried out an attack, our team played counterattack with Vozinya left in the centre of the field, Maxim Iurcu scored to an empty goal and Josip Ivancic added to that on his part. Side referee made it an offside. Nevertheless, Ivancic scored one minute afterwards, thus making the score final.
The situation in the standings did not change after this matchday. FC Dacia takes the leading position, FC Sheriff is three points behind.
