FC “Sheriff” – FC “Zimbru”
In the 23rd round of the National Division two highly awarded clubs of Moldova – FC “Sheriff” and FC “Zimbru” had a match.
The match was undoubtedly tensed. Within first 20 minutes both teams tried to take the initiative which caused combat and minimum of dangerous moments. The first really dangerous moment took place on 27th minute which turned out to be a goal. Alexander Dedov sent pass from the penalty area and the ball flew across the defense of FC “Sheriff”, Radu Gynsar headed the ball to the goal. FC “Sheriff” in their turn responded in a great shot performed by Marko Stanojevic which was saved by Rusu. However, the next episode brought a corner shot which was sent to the goal after Luvannor’s shot – 1:1! By the end of the first half Burgiu made Luvannor fall on the lawn but the referee was silent. Right before the break FC “Sheriff” put on a goal. Kadu handled a flank pass and Ricardinho headed the ball to the goal of FC “Zimbru”.
On 57th minute Stanojevic made another great shot from the penalty area. This time the ball flew near the crossbar. FC “Zimbru” had a chance to balance the scoring. Danu Spataru appeared in the penalty area but instead of making a shot he preferred to send a pass which was not forwarded. At the end of the match Stanojevic played with Ricardinho who made a strong shot at the goal but the goalkeeper made a good save. The last minutes of the match were dominated by FC “Zimbru” who performed a few dangerous set pieces but were not able to change the scoring.
FC “Sheriff” had a deserving victory by the score 2:1. On Tuesday our team is playing in the Cup of Moldova. The opponent of the "yellow-blacks" is FC “Olimpia”.
