In the central match of the 13^th round the champion of the country “Sheriff” from Tiraspol met “Veris” from Chisinau which takes the second place in the standings.

The match started from the challenge for the ball in the centre of the field as it was expected. No one wanted to concede and the first 15 minutes were left with no dangerous moments. Then “Sheriff” gained possession of the ball and started creating dangerous moments at the gate of the guests. In one of the episodes Luvannor Henrique sent the ball from the penalty area, the defenders kicked the ball out but Vadim Paireli shot at the gate with one touch, however the ball crossed the post. On 32 minute “Sheriff” took the lead. Luvannor sent the ball to Stanojevic, he gave a perfect pass to Fernando who sent it from the goal-area line to the gate. In a few minutes Ricardinho ran with the ball for 60 meters long, came to the penalty area where he was hit by Petru Racu – a penalty was awarded. Luvannor came to the point but he shot high from the gate. Luvannor was not upset about the unconverted penalty and by the end of the first half he doubled the lead of his team. Ricardinho sent a wing pass to Paireli who gave an excellent pass to Luvannor who hit the target.

In the second half “Sheriff” kept on taking the lead. Alexander Pascenco had a real chance to score when the half back of “Sheriff” hit the ball on the fly but Artiom Gaiduchevici managed the shot. On 67 minute “Veris” was punished for not being careful at their own gate. Benjamin Balima intercepted the pass from the defender, outplayed the goalkeeper and sent the ball to the open goal – 3:0! The guests could organize a dangerous attack only at the end of the match. Serghei Alexeev tried to score to “Sheriff”, however Dmitri Stajila played perfectly well and saved the goal.
As a result of this win “Sheriff” cemented their place in the championship and is now 7 points clear at the top of the table.
