FC Sheriff – FC Veris, May 11, 2014
The first and the third teams of the championship – FC Sheriff and FC Veris – met at the Small Arena of Sports Complex Sheriff.
Despite the fact that the match was a 0:0 draw, it was very interesting. FC Sheriff could score already on 20th second of the match. Artiom Gaiduckevich returned the ball right on the foot of Marko Stanojevic who shot at the goal but he missed. On 13th Alexandr Antonyuk made a shot which was saved by Serghei Juric. In two minutes Valery Tiron delivered a penalty shot, Juric stroke aside, the ball got into the crossbar and back on the field. The first to take the ball was Mikhail Tsurkan but his head shot was not precise. FC Sheriff then performed a few dangerous moments. Luvannor outplayed Petr Raku and sent a pass to Ismail Isa who in his turn sent it back to Luvannor who forwarded it to Kadu. Kadu then made a good shot but the ball was stopped by the defender. On 25th minute Vadim Pairelli got into the penalty area and made a good shot but he missed. Then Nikolai Josan made a long-range shot and Juric made a save. At the end of the half Luvannor sent a pass to the penalty area but Petr Raku played with his hand – a penalty was awarded. Kadu delivered the penalty shot. Artiom Gaiduckevich stroke it aside.
In the second half the “yellow-blacks” continued their attack. Luvannor was stopped only by Gaiduckevich who played safely. In the next episode Juric stroke aside the header by Kashkavala. On 62nd minute FC Sheriff lost their 100% moment. Luvannor sent a pass to the penalty area, but Vadim Pairelli missed with his shot.
The result of the meeting is a 0:0 draw. Right after the end of the match an awarding ceremony took place. FC Sheriff got their golden medals for the championship of the season 2013/2014.
