FC Sheriff – FC Tom (3:2)
Sheriff won in a match over the representative of the Russian Football National League – FC Tom from Tomsk.
By 25th minute the opponent was two goals ahead. Pavel Nekhaichik ruined Sheriff defense. Then it was Alexei Pugin who was successful at converting his chance. In a few minutes Sheriff was awarded a penalty due to Martin Jiranek’s hand play. Jo converted the penalty – 1:2!
In the second 45 Sheriff became more aggressive in the attack and it brought results. Ivan Urvantev sent a great pass towards Benjamin Balima who was better in play than Alexandr Krivoruchko. Sheriff Bosnian midfielder Goran Galesic sent a precise shot to low corner. It became the first goal by Goran in our team which moreover became the victory goal.
However, at the end of the match both teams lost good chances to score. The referee then added ten (!) minutes additional time. On 99th minute there was unexpected penalty to Sheriff goal. Alexei Koselev made a fantastic save.
Final score is 3:2 for FC Sheriff.
