FC “Sheriff” – FC “Petrolul” February 9, 2014
In terms of the first game of the second training camps in Turkey FC “Sheriff” met FC “Petrolul” from Romania.
FC “Sheriff” first eleven: Dmitri Stajila, Melli, Ricardinho, Marcel Metoua, Kadu, Djibril Paye, Ernandes, Miral Samardzic, Ismail Isa, Marko Stanojevic, Luvannor Henrique. Substitute players: Benjamin Balima, Jhulliam, Klysman Henrique.
The match started not very successfully for our team. Adrian Mutu from FC “Petrolul” scored a goal on 3rd minute. In 18 minutes Mutu scored the second goal. On 36th minute Luvannor Henrique turned home the pass from Ismail Isa and made up ground. Right before the end of the first half FC “Sheriff” could have been awarded a penalty, however the referee made it a corner.
The second half was dominated by FC “Sheriff”. Kadu made a long-ranged shot but it did not reach the goal. On 64th minute Ismail Isa lost a great chance to score. In 10 minutes the Romanian team brought on a scuffle, after that team captain Miral Samardzic and Geraldo were sent off. Despite acts of provocation by FC “Petrolul”, it was FC “Sheriff” who took the lead at the end of the match and conducted an effective attack. Luvannor technically handled the ball and scored a goal at short range – 2:2! Right before the final whistle Jhulliam sent another ball to the goal of the Romanian club, however the referee awarded an offside position.
After conceding two goals, FC “Sheriff” then makes it a draw. The next match will take place on February 12 against OFK “Beograd” from Serbia.
