FC “Sheriff” – FC “Olimpia”
The Cup of Moldova has started for FC “Sheriff” from Tiraspol. The opponent of our team in 1/8 of the final was FC “Olimpia” from Beltci.
FC “Sheriff” started very actively. During the first five minutes our team delivered three corners and two dangerous penalty shots, however “Olimpia” defenders handled the attack. On 10th minute team captain Miral Samardzhic was injured and substituted by the young defender Valery Macritsky. In two minutes the first really dangerous moment was created by “Sheriff”. Luvannor got the ball on the rebound and shot at the close corner in one touch but the goalkeeper made a save. In the next episode Luvannor assisted to Valentin Birdan but the ball flew higher the cross bar. In the middle of the first half the score was about to be open by Valery Macritsky but our player missed. At the end of the half the score was finally open by the hosts. Juninho Potiguar broke through all “Olimpia” defenders and got Luvannor one to one. Luvannor in his turn did not leave any chances to the goalkeeper making a shot at the far low corner!
In the second half Marko Stanojevic was close to score a few times. At first the Serbian made a strong shot at the goal, and only Dymov saved his team after jumping. Then Stanojevic made a long-range shot but the ball was taken by the goalkeeper again. On 69th minute our team doubled the score. Then it was time for Ricardinho to score. Dymov was mistaken on going out after the pass by Djibril Paye, Benjamin Balima sent the ball behind the goalkeepers but the defenders made a save, however Ricardinho was first to help here and forwarded the ball to the goal. In two minutes Juninho Potiguar caused applause. The Brazilian made a well-placed shot and scored the third ball for his team. “Olimpia” was not able to organize a dangerous attach during the entire match. Moreover, “Sheriff” Spanish defender Melli scored the fourth goal to the opponent. Stanojevic sent a pass from the corner and Melli headed the ball to the goal, thus making the score final – 4:0!
FC “Sheriff” goes out to the quarter-final of the Cup of Moldova. Our next opponent will be known a bit later. Already this Sunday, on March 30, FC “Sheriff” will play against FC “Dinamo-Auto” in Ternovka in terms of the championship.
