FC Sheriff – FC Kuban (2:1)
FC Sheriff had their first test match at Cyprus training camp and won over FC Kuban (2:1).
At the start of the match our team opened the scoring. Dmitry Stazhila who’s on a trial in FC Kuban made a mistake, Kadu got the ball and sent a pass to Jo. The Brazilian sent a precise shot right to the goal. FC Sheriff soon scored again but the referee disallowed the goal due to an offside position.
Krasnodar team was awarded a penalty converted by the Moldovan Igor Armash, thus balancing the scoring – 1:1.
Before the break FC Kuban were close to score but first Majovic hot the woodwork and then could not convert the shot.
In the second half of the match the game turned out to be tough. The emotions were too high. After a few mistakes on the part of the referee FC Kuban was awarded a penalty. Arsen Khubulov performed not a precise shot higher the goal.
The end of the match was quite tensed. Our team progressed and won in the additional time. Josip Ivancic broke FC Kuban defense on the right side and sent a pass to Benjamin Balima whose shot made the score final – 2:1 for FC Sheriff.
