FC Sheriff – FC Academia
In the next round of the championship of Moldova FC Sheriff had a match with FC Academia from Chisinau.
In today’s match FC Sheriff hit its record. In six rounds before the end of the championship our team scored 84 goals which is a new record for the club in the National Division. In the season 2010/2011 FC Sheriff scored 81 goals. As for the game, it started with attacks by FC Sheriff. On the 3rd minute Luvannor shot at the far corner but he missed. In six minutes the defense of the guests failed. Luvannor played with Ernandes who made a pass straight to Ismail Isa who scored in slide tackle! FC Academia responded in a dangerous shot by Arkady Galperin but the ball did not get to the upper corner. In the next attack Luvannor lost a good chance to score shooting from the close distance but missing. However, in five minutes Luvannor did score a goal. After a quick counterattack Isa received the ball and got Luvannor one to one. Our forward technically outplayed the goalkeeper – 2:0! Ernandes did not convert his chance to score after shooting higher than the goal. In the middle of the half FC Sheriff extended the lead. Benjamin Balima sent a pass from the left wing, the defenders lost the ball which was taken by Valentin Furdui who outplayed Chebotar. The score goal was the first one for Valentin in this season.
The second half started from a penalty in the goal of the opponent. Substituted Potiguar got into the penalty area where he was hit by M.Foksha from FC Academia. Ricardinho shot at the corner but Chebotar saved a penalty. In the second half Denis Kalinkov was the most active. On 57th minute Kalinkov made a shot from the penalty area but Serghei Juric saved his team and made it a corner. Ten minutes before the end of the match FC Sheriff converted the fourth successful attack. Jhulliam entered the penalty area and sent a pass to Juninho Potiguar who scored the fourth goal. However, a consolation goal was finally scored by FC Academia. Denis Kalinkov was there to make a shot at the low corner being within the penalty area.
The match ended in FC Sheriff victory by the score 4:1. On Tuesday, April 15, our team plays against FC Veris in terms of 1/4 of the Cup of Moldova. The match will take place at the Small Arena of Sports Complex “Sheriff” at 17:00.
