After a lopsided victory over FC Academia, FC Sheriff continued their winning series sharing the first place with FC Veris in the standings.
There was nothing unexpected in the match. FC Sheriff started dominating since the first minutes. Ricardinho sent a firm shot but Nikolai Chebotar made a save. Soon Leonel Olimpio made a shot from 30 meters and Chebotar was there to block the shot. Then Kadu sent a precise shot to Andrei Muresan who shot at the goal. The ball got into the defender and Radu Ginsar was there to shoot from the rebound right in the far corner. The goal was dedicated to Marcel Metoua who followed the match at the stands. Close to the end of the half Valery Makritsky sent a great pass from the centre of the pitch to Juninho Potiguar. The Brazilian came one to one but Chebotar made a good save.
The second half started with a dangerous moment when Muresan assisted Potiguar who could not head it to the goal. Mikhail Apostol was marked with his long-range shot but Serghei Paschenco did his job well. In the next episode Vitaly Zlatan sent a good shot at FC Sheriff goal, the ball was close to crossbar. On 60th minute Benjamin Balima received pass from Kadu and headed in leaving no chances to the goalkeeper. Substituted Fred Benson scored a goal as well and it became the first one for the Hollander in the championship. Ernandes performed a great wing pass, Benson was there to head in. Right after that the forward could make it a brace but Chebotar tried hard to make a save. Ismail Isa performed a dangerous shot but the goalkeeper was able to block the shot.
