FC Milsami – FC Sheriff
In the second semifinal of the Cup of Moldova FC Milsami and FC Sheriff met in Orhei. There were about two thousand supporters.

The game was very important for the team from Orhei because the victory in the Cup would let FC Milsami take part in Europa League qualifying round. However FC Sheriff was not going to concede. Artur Patrash from FC Milsami could perform a good long-range shot, Luvannor and Potiguar were moving forward. On 17th minute FC Sheriff opened the scoring. Ernandes sent a fantastic pass where Marko Stanojevic standing alone shot at the goal. On 38th minute Carlo Belak made an unexpected shot but Serghei Juric made a great save.

The second half was performed more actively by the hosts. In one of the episodes Patrash was about to send the ball to the goal with the help of the wind but our goalkeeper saved his team. On 60th minute Vadim Pairelli got into the penalty area, made a shot but the ball got into the defender and changed its direction. In a few minutes FC Sheriff proved who will be the winner. Juninho Potiguar got a pass from Stanojevic, came one to one and made a shot. Negai dealt with the shot but the ball rebounded to our forward again who in his turn sent it to the empty goal! The brightest moment was performed by FC Milsami on 76th minute but it was an offside position. Gullierme delivered a penalty shot, Georgy Bogu came one to one with Juric but he missed.

As a result, the champion of the country wins by the score 2:0. FC Sheriff plays with FC Zimbru from Chisinau in the final of the Cup who won FC Dacia. The final will take place on May 25 in Chisinau at “Zimbru” stadium. In any case FC Zimbru will take part in Europa League qualifying round thanks to titleholder FC Sheriff. But who said the match will not be an interesting one?! We should not forget that it is Moldavian “El Clasico”.
