FC Academia – FC Sheriff. A victory as a gift
On its 18th birthday FC Sheriff did not have the right to concede and won in an away match over FC Academia scoring two goals in the second half.
The teams met one month ago and FC Sheriff could score a quick goal within first seconds. This time FC Academia was more organized in defense and more dangerous in the attack. The first high spot of the match was made by FC Academia. Eugene Cheliadnik made a firm shot and only Serghei Paschenco’s confident save did not let it happen. FC Sheriff had another chance to score when Juninho Potiguar shot at close distance but higher the goal. Anatoly Ceptine made a good shot from the penalty zone but the ball got into the post. Andrei Chofu’s dangerous shot was not a very precise one. Then our team carried out two good attacks. At first goalmouth scramble did not let the goal happen, then Potiguar turned home but the ball got into the goalkeeper.
In four minutes after the start of the second half FC Sheriff delivered a corner shot. Maxim Yurku was in the right place in the right time and hit the goal of the opponent. Sofroni tried to balance the scoring but the ball was close to the cross bar. The second goal was scored by Yurku who used the mistake by Cristian Avram and doubled the scoring. By the end of the match FC Academia made two attempts but they failed.
FC Sheriff win this match and get ready for most serious matches which will define the result of the championship.
