FC "Sheriff" played in a draw 0: 0 in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League with the Azerbaijani "Garabag".

 

The hosts began off the bat. Already in the second minute Zvonimir Mikulich made three incredible saves. In the first half, these were the only dangerous moments at our gates. And the answer did not take long. Already in the fifth minute Cristiano da Silva on the flank burst into the penalty area and was stopped by the captain of "Garabag". The repetitions of the Azerbaijani television clearly indicate that in this episode it was necessary to appoint a penalty.

 

And if our gates were calm, then the owners had to strain to set off fast attacks of our guys. The most dangerous moment happened at the end of the half-time, when after filing a corner Petru Raku beat through himself, but the ball flew above the gate.

 

In the second half, the hosts were more insistent. Wards Roberto Bordina gave the initiative, hoping for a counterattack. The Agdam club owned a lot of ball, but could not get into the penalty area, our line of defense played confidently. And long-range beats with confidence reflected our goalkeeper.

 

As a result - a fighting draw, which leaves the question of the winner in this pair before the return match in Tiraspol.
