The first round of the Moldovan National Division for the youth and midget teams has completed. Only one matchday is left to be played in the Under-19 age category. All top positions in the standings in every age category are occupied by Sheriff Football Academy side.
Andrei Corneencov and his squad are going through the tournament without dropping any points, having won all eight games. Three points behind FC Sheriff is coming Zimbru Chisinau. The teams go head-to-head on 16 November and on 19 November this autumn’s final match is to be held.
In Under-17 category, coached by Sh. Maharadze and D. Laptev, Sheriff have a two-point lead ahead of Real-Succes from Chisinau. The final game of the season was held on the previous weekend.
V. Mostovoi’s team with 27 points from 10 games is also ranking among other Under-16 leaders. This autumn the Moldovan Under-16 Championship matches are to be played in quarterfinals. In the beginning of December, V. Mostovoi’s team will participate in a big International tournament which will take place in Tiraspol.
