The first team tried the turf of the GSP stadium. The session lasted about 45 minutes. Before that, FC Sheriff head coach Stjepan Tomas and team captain Stjepan Radeljic answered questions from a few journalists. Here are the main thoughts:

 

Stjepan Tomas:

- Tomorrow will be a very important match for the start of the group stage. We are in a very difficult group, and it is very important to score points against Omonoia. Even more difficult matches are ahead of us - against Manchester United and Real Sociedad.

- I am confident in my team and expect a good game from them tomorrow. I think tomorrow we will have a good start and - why not? - take all three points.

- Omonoia is a very good team. We saw them two matches in the Championship. They have a very good team that can compete in the international arena. They use the 3-5-2 system. A team that has experience, and there are players in the roster who are very strong individually, technically. Much will depend on starting minutes. We hope to score points tomorrow and get a good result. Despite their strengths, I repeat, I have confidence in my team.

 

Stjepan Radeljic:

- Tomorrow we start in the Europa League. A very interesting tournament. The coaching staff prepared us well for the match. We are ready, because they showed us everything - how Omonoia plays, what strengths and weaknesses it has. We have had a very good last week, all the players in the team are fine. Looking forward to a good result tomorrow.

- The fact that we played well in the Champions League does not mean anything. Tomorrow we start in another tournament, we have a completely different team. Lots of new players. But together we make a good team. From match to match we will go forward and preserve the winning traditions and image of the club.
