Didier Bueno: "I will do everything to achieve the result."
The first interview of the Colombian defender Didier Bueno as a player of FC Sheriff:
-Didier, tell us about yourself and why did you decide to become a football player?
-When I was 9 years old, my brother saw my potential and enrolled me in a football school. At the age of 12, I was transferred to the best football school, “Internacional”, where I had the opportunity to play in the national junior tournament. Everything went so well that I was called up to the junior team of “Independiente” Medellin. However, I became a professional football player during playing in Real Cartagena. I signed my first professional contract with them. After the contract expired, I returned to “Independiente” Medellin, but this time to the main team. There, I played my first matches in the top division of Colombian football. In the club “La Equidad Seguros” in Bogota, I had more playing time and gained more professional experience. I think it was thanks to that experience that I got the opportunity to come here. Now I am a player of FC Sheriff.
-As far as we know, you have spent your entire professional career in Colombia. What does it mean for you to move to Europe, and have you encountered any surprises?
-Playing in Europe is a strong motivation. It provides an opportunity to play in major tournaments, such as the Champions League, which is a great experience. The biggest challenge is the language barrier. Other than that, everything is excellent, the infrastructure is at a high level, and I have been welcomed wonderfully by the club. It is a great incentive for me to show my best.
-If it weren't for football, what would you like to become?
-Perhaps I would have become a computer engineer, for example, or a coach, or maybe a sports director.
-What are your hobbies?
-I enjoy playing video games.
-What are your best qualities?
-Modesty, being very kind and a good comrade. On the football field, I always try to help and strive for the maximum.
-And what about your weaknesses?
-Sometimes I can be very impatient. I don't like losing, and when I do, I get very upset. In those moments, it's better for me to be alone. That way, I can better assess the situation.
-What would you like to say to FC Sheriff fans?
-I hope they see in me a player who will do everything possible to achieve results and give everything for victory. I will be a soldier who gives everything to conquer titles.
