Cedric Badolo: "I am calm in Tiraspol"
We continue the series of interviews prepared jointly with the Football Federation of Moldova about the Best Players of 2022. Today we are talking with Cedric Badolo.
- You have been in Moldovan football for a year already. How can you assess the level of the tournament? If you compare, for example, with the Slovak Championship, where you played before.
- The level of the championship is good. But the difficulty is that everyone is trying to play hard against us. Sheriff is on the first line and all the opponents who are lower in the table are trying to score points and overtake us. Because of this, there is a lot of intensity.
- Last year, FC Sheriff won the Champion title, leaving Petrocub behind. The current tournament takes place in a different format. Has the competition gotten tougher?
- We can not say that the current season is more complicated than the previous one. Just a lot of changes and you need to get used to them. Most of the teams have changed, you need to get to know new players.
- What teams are the most difficult to play with in the Championship?
- It's hard to play with all the teams, as I have already said that everyone gives their best just against Sheriff. We are the main competitor. But if you single out someone, then this is Petrocub. Good team.
- Do matches for FC Sheriff in European competitions and for the national team of Burkina Faso help you?
- Yes, championship matches help the national team a lot. Here all the matches are intense and dynamic.
- What impressions did Moldova make? What surprised you the most?
- I'm calm here. Little noise, no fuss. For me, this is a place where you can concentrate on football.
