Today there will be the final match of CAN 2013, in which the national team of Benjamin Balima and our former player Florent Rouamba will play agains Nigeria. FC Sheriff wishes Burkina Faso success and win in today's match.
The road of Burkina Faso to the finals was not easy. Despite of the fact that the team advanced to play-offs of the tournament from the first place and played well against such teams as Nigeria, Ephiopia and Zambia, in play-offs the national team had not easy opponents. It is interestin to notice that during the group stage the match of Burkina Faso against Nigeria finished in a draw 1-1 with Burkina Faso scoring the equalizer on the 4th additional minute to the match. In quarter-finals Burkina Faso won against Togo, having scored in the extra time. In semi-finals the game against Ghana was even tougher - after the extra time the score was 1-1 and Burkina Faso won 3-2 on penalties. Today Burkina Faso will try to make the last step to become the holders of African Nations Cup.
