We had a plan for the game but to some players' injuries we could not fulfill everything. As for Hapoel, they prepared well, they performed quick counterattacks. My plan was to play in the defense, to use side transitions and space. We had set pieces that we could not deliver well. However, one precise shot would be enough.
Many spectators expected to see a fight today, especially after the first-leg match where Sheriff showed true character. How do you estimate this game in terms of character and desire to play?
Speaking about the first-leg match, Hapoel was not ready to our football. We made a surprise for them, so it was important to take the same measures so that the opponent would not be ready for them. Yes, i agree that we did not show enough character, Hapoel played very well and balanced, they have good attacking players. But we played well in the defense.
