The last game before the break prior to the national team match was difficult for Roberto Bordin’s men. Moldovan El Clasico always goes in keen struggle, no matter how strong are the rivals’.

In the first half our team took the lead and in the fifth minute sent the ball into the hosts’ net. The assistant referee flagged offside, which was quite a controversial decision. Both teams had few chances at goal and the hosts used our defender’s mistake.  Teodoro shot from 18 meters directly into the net corner.

The second half began with an excellent free-kick performed by Evgheni Oancea. Ciobanu made save in the upper corner.  The Yellow-Blacks upped the tempo. The hosts failed to follow and often broke the rules.

Finally, despite all Ciobanu’s saves, Sheriff leveled the score. Monday committed a foul on Stefan Mugoša, who came on as a substitute, and Jairo made a penalty kick with no chances left for the hosts’ goalkeeper.

At the end of the match, FC Sheriff’s fast attack brought the third goal in the game. It was scored by Ziguy Badibanga, who turned home Mugoša’s pass.

A 2:1 victory, so difficult and pleasant, helped Roberto Bordin’s team to stretch the lead from Milsami to 4 scores.
