Moldova U-21 national team defeated Gibraltar in the 2023 European Championship qualifying match. The only victorious goal was scored by the forward of FC Sheriff reserves Evgheni Gliga. Evgheni came on as a substitute at the 68th minute of the game and at the 83rd minute he decided the outcome of the match with a gorgeous shot.

Midfielder Serafim Cojocari, who played all the regular time, also took part in the match.
