Croatian midfielder Antun Palic has recently signed an employment contract with FC Sheriff. It’s time to ask Antun why he decided to play for the Yellow-Blacks and about his main aim in football.

Antun, welcome to FC Sheriff! Why did you decide to play for the Yellow-Blacks?
I know that Sheriff has been a Champion many times and all the time fights to be the best team as in the domestic Championship and also in European competitions trying to reach the best. It has good conditions for work and I’m very happy to be a part of this club. These were the main reasons.

Why do you like football?
I love football since I was young when I watched the games of the Croatian national team and club where I played as a professional after - Dinamo Zagreb.

What do you think about competition for your position?
I think in every team there must be a positive competition and players to fight for the team’s success, this is the most important.

You played for Dinamo in the Romania highest League – Liga 1. What do you know about the Moldovan Championship and FC Sheriff?
About FC Sheriff I  know a lot from European qualification and some things I found out from Croatian players who played here also a lot.

Do you have any experience of playing in the Champions and Europa League?
Yes, I do. I was a part of the team with Dinamo Zagreb and last year with Dinamo Bucharest who represented their countries in the Champions and European League qualification.

What does playing in the European tournaments mean for you?
To play in European tournament means for every player a lot because the competition is high and it’s a big challenge for every team.

Your main aim today in football?
My main aim is to give everything for the team’s success.
