Andrei Radiola: The trust of the management gives the chance to prove in Europe
The coach of FC Sheriff Under-11, Andrei Radiola, told about the international tournament in Bulgaria "Varna Cup 2019" in which his wards won first place.
- Andrei, we congratulate you and the whole team on this success! Your pupils went down in the history as the first winners of the international tournament. Share emotions …
- It is always pleasant to be the first, but it, first of all a merit of all Sheriff Academy, the head coach and all coaching staff. We have many coaches who have influence on training process. Everything is bult so that boys think only of football. When they see how many people are involved in this difficult process – they feel responsibility and try to achieve good results. Many thanks to the President of FC Sheriff and to the Director of the club for that they trust us, give us the chance to prove on the international scene. We in turn try to justify this confidence and to achieve the best results.
- Tell about the tournament and how did everything go?
- The trip was organized on the highest level, everything was competently organized and painted on minutes. Varna met us good-naturedly. There was a lot of warmth from the hosts. Conditions for holding the tournament suited us completely.
- Is it the first tournament of your wards in the international scene?
- No, we’ve already participated in such tournaments, for example, in Odessa. The last tournament in which we performed is Chisinau "JUNIOR CUP 2019" in which we also won the first place.
- What can you tell about participants of the tournament?
- The Bulgarian teams show fighting football with high rates of technical actions. Play power football, but at the same time they do not forget of owning the ball. In other words, the mixed game type. Matches were interesting, especially with FC Svilengrad in the tournament final. We were well ready to this tournament. In all matches owned an initiative and showed the style of play. As a result achieved natural result – the first place.
- It is known that the team was supported by some parents of children who were organized and arrived in Varna …
- Parents do not interfere with football process and it is correct. But so far as it concerns support – it is very important. I want to note that they are very good because showed harmonious organization. We in Bulgaria were not alone, and their support was very pleasant to us. Besides, every evening after the game we came back to hotel and many people wrote us from Tiraspol the kind words of support.
-Did you communicate with the Bulgarian coaches, about matches, about the tournament in general?
- Our team is known in Bulgaria. When we met coaches, they at once led the conversation to Vladislav Stoyanov who defended the honor of our club in due time. It is pleasant that FC Sheriff is known abroad. On the tournament nobody expected such strong game from us therefore after the final asked me many questions of our football and of the country in general.
- About what were curious?
- For example, asked how many million people live in our city, how selections take place in our Academy. They were extremely surprised when I told them that in our city not so many people live, to the Bulgarian measures.
- What gives to our pupils participation in such international tournaments?
- Children for the first time faced such long trip. Stood it with dignity. We changed scenery, as we play constantly within our country. There it is other atmosphere, other teams. Adaptation of players to new conditions gives more valuable experience in career. We need to show the potential on the international scene, it is huge plus of these tournaments.
