The coach of FC Sheriff Under-19 team, Andrei Corneencov, commented on the victory of Academy trainees over FC Codru reserves (3-0) and shared his opinion on the upcoming game in the UEFA Youth League.

 

- The first half was played poorly in terms of technical skill. We scored two goals, but there was a lot of defects. Somewhere a strong wind prevented, somewhere our players looked sloppy, due to the end of the Championship. During the break there was a serious conversation, there was less defects, but on such a field they should have played better and won with a larger score.

 

- Did the last defeat from Zimbru juniors  affect somehow the today's game?

- Last game did not affect today's match. We have games for age, and we try more to strengthen the boys. The line-up is always different, plus we give some players the opportunity to rest before important games. This leaves a certain mark on the matches as a whole.

 

- What is the atmosphere in anticipation of the international game with the Norwegian team - Sogndal?

- In terms of training and atmosphere within the team, everything is fine.

 

- What can you say about your opponent?

- Surely they explored us, as well as we did them. We know their strengths and try to minimize them. We also know what weaknesses there are in the game of rivals. We will try to use this in the upcoming confrontation.
