The team showed two different halves today, especially as for the score. Why did it happen that way?
The opponent team showed high level football in the first 15-20 minutes: quick pass, rhythm change, constant diagonals. We were perhaps not ready for that. By the middle of the first half the game became balanced, we could score. After the break other players took the field, especially young players who play not so often. Maybe they wanted to show the coach their readiness to play in the first eleven, and that’s why there was such a difference between two halves.
What did you think about before the penalty kick?
About the coach’s words! After the previous game with a penalty shot the coach showed me my mistake and told me how to correct it. It seemed to work.
FC Sheriff has to play with strong opponents in Cyprus and you have to show your best. Is it a plus or a minus for the team?
It is definitely a plus. We came to training camp to get into shape. It is in the winter training camp that the base is built for the whole year. It’s one of the constituents of physical and tactical preparation. No matter how hard the training sessions are, it means it has to be that way. If we have strong opponents, it means we have to play with them.
Have you got tired already?
We knew where we were going and what we had to do. The work is done gradually.
Are you satisfied with everything at the training camp?
Yes, we are. Good pitch, full board. There are all conditions for rest and rehabilitation. We are truly satisfied with everything.

- We played against the team representing Russian Football National League. It was a difficult game. Our training sessions are hard now, the legs are pretty loaded at the moment. Maybe that’s why everything looked not in the best way but we did our maximum.

Now the team looks fine but there are mistakes made sometimes. It is only preparation for the season right now. There is much work ahead and enough time to correct mistakes.

Of course, I am happy. I hope to play the same way when the season starts and I will do my best in every game.

Difficult games are important for moving forward. Only due to such games you can win the championship. We do hope to win the championship and play well in the European Cups. FC Sheriff is well known in Europe and we should perform well to defend our name.
