The first match of the third round of the Champions League qualification between FC Sheriff and FC Viktoria Pilsen will be officiated by a referee team from the Netherlands led by Danny McKelly.

 

It makes no sense to get acquainted with the 39-year-old referee. He is well acquainted with FC Sheriff. Only in the last European season McKelly worked on two games of our club. In Milan, he was the main in the match against Inter and in Tiraspol, when he appointed a penalty with the help of VAR against FC Braga (2: 0). The very first match with the participation of our team was a duel at SC Sheriff against Dinamo Zagreb in the 2013-2014 season.

 

McKelly will be assisted by Hessel Steegstra, Jan de Vries and Jeroen Manschot. The VAR brigade will also work at the game, which will be held in Chisinau at the Zimbru stadium on Tuesday, August 2.
