21 year to the first victory
Today it is the 21st year since the FC Sheriff won the first title.

On May 27, 1999 FC Sheriff defeated FC Constructorul in the final of the Cup of Moldova with a score 2: 1. The most interesting thing is that the ball that gave our boys to continue the fight for the trophy was scored by Tamaz Pertia 15 seconds before the end of the main match.

Already in additional time, the “golden ball” (at that time the rule was in place that determined the winner in additional time with the first ball scored), Yuri Romaniuk brought FC Sheriff victory. The team was coached by Sergei Borovsky.

The line-up of FC Sheriff, which brought the first title: Sergei Perkhun, Vasili Arlet, Sergei Zenevich, Dan Lacusta, Vazha Tarkhnishvili, Vladimir Gaydamashchuk, Stanislav Ivanov (Ruslan Barburosh 46), Vladimir Tanurkov (Yuri Romaniuk, 99), Andrei Poroshin, Alexander Mizenko (Tamaz Pertiya, 83), Sergei Rogachev.

Since that day, FC Sheriff has won 37 trophies.
