Today marks the twentieth anniversary from the moment of gaining by FC Sheriff the first trophy in the history of the club. The first trophy, day, when that is called, it burst. And after that nice day at Republican Stadium in Chisinau when the wards of Sergei Borovsky beat Chisinau Constructorul-93, the glorious history of FC Sheriff began.

In that match our line-up was the following: Perhun, Arlet, Zenevich, Lekuste, Tarkhnishvili, Gaidamasciuc, S. Ivanov (Barburos, 46), V. Tanurkov (Romaniuc, 103), Poroshyn, Mizenko (Pertia, 83), Rogaciov. And even if Sergei Perkhun, Ruslan Barburos and Yury Romaniuc are gone, they will always remain in our hearts.

Now in the show-window of the most titled club of Moldova there are 36 trophies, including two international. In 2003 and 2009 we won the Commonwealth of Independent States Cup. Also there was participation in the group stage of the Europa League, and on the Main Arena of the SC Sheriff the anthem of the Champions League sounded when there was only one match to the cherished dream.

Also as in 2017 we stopped in a half step from the historical moment, qualifying from the group of the Europa League where as equals played with the Moscow Lokomotiv and Danish Copenhagen.

It is symbolical that 20 years later we took the Cup of Moldova again. It is the 10th trophy in this tournament. And let this year will give us a reason to appear, where actually the place of FC Sheriff again, - on the top.
