Today the 11th anniversary of FC Sheriff second Big Victory at the International Arena is celebrated. On January 25, 2009, under the coaching leadership of Leonid Kuchuk and captain Vazha Tarkhnishvili, our club defeated Kazakhstan Aktobe in the penalty shootout in the final of the Champions Cup of the Commonwealth countries. Normal time ended in a draw 1: 1 (the ball in our team was on the account of Alexander Suvorov).

 

The first trophy was won in 2003. The penalties in our team were scored by: Vitaliy Bulat, Vladimir Volkov, Abdul-Gafar Mamakh, Vazha Tarkhnishvili, Florent Ruamba. Stanislav Namashko repelled the shot of Kenzhisariev.
