Eugeniu, tell us about your sports career please.   
 - At first I attended the training center of FC “Zimbru”. At the age of 16, I started to play for the second team and then, in two years, I already became the reserve goalkeeper of the first team. Unfortunately, I was forced to stop my career because of the serious injury at the age of 21. At that time I already was the player of the National Youth and Olympic teams.       
 How did you decide to become a coach? What steps did you take for that?      
 - Whereas I was a goalkeeper, I decided to start as a goalkeeper coach in Buycani. Then I was given the opportunity to work for “Goleodor” – the team in Division A. At the age of 23, I received the offer from FC “Zimbru” and became the assistant coach of the second team when I was 24. In two years I became the head coach of the second team.      
      The existence of the own Academy should provide the first team with native players. In spite of that, “Sheriff” prefers foreign players. Why?  
 - Firstly, we have to correspond to the international level. Foreigners help our players to improve their abilities. Any foreign player of a good level is able to stimulate local players irrespective of a championship. Accordingly, the higher class of foreigners may increase both the level and class of the championship and players. In this case, our players have the opportunity to train with such players as Samardzic, Metoua and learn from them to play on the required level. It’s a step forward for our players.                 
  In your opinion, are “Sheriff-2” players ready to join the ranks of the first team?
 - They have to do it. Young players must work from day to day, be psychologically stable to external and internal stresses.  Players have to improve their skills, move forward, show what they are made of and constantly prove their right to be in the first team, prove not by words but, first of all, hard working and playing for the second team.          
 Now you are the assistant coach of FC “Sheriff”. What are your duties?
 - I take part in the educational-and-training process, conduct group and team exercises with the players, and analyze games of the National Championship. In addition, I render assistance to the head coach in communication with the players, in other words, I interpret all for them.    
 What can you say about the level of “Sheriff” players?
- Our players have great prospects and we are going to develop them day by day.
